Avocukiyom Portable Power Station

A large portable power station — a battery backup that gives silent, fume-free power indoors, charged from the mains or solar, to keep the essentials running through an outage with no engine and no fuel. A big lithium battery with mains and USB outputs and a pure sine-wave inverter; safe to use indoors, unlike a fuel generator, and recharged ready for the next time. The quiet indoor answer for shorter outages and sensitive kit.

• Type: large portable battery power station
• Build: lithium battery, pure sine-wave inverter, mains/USB outputs, solar-ready
• Benefit: silent, fume-free power usable indoors; no fuel

A fuel-burning generator gives off carbon monoxide, a poison you cannot see or smell: never run a generator indoors, in a garage, a carport or any enclosed or partly enclosed space, and never near open windows, doors or air vents — run it outdoors, well away from the house, with the exhaust pointed away. Never connect a generator to your home wiring through a wall socket (back-feeding) — it can kill you or a line worker; a generator is connected to the house only through a proper transfer switch installed by a qualified electrician, and a fixed standby generator is installed by a qualified electrician (and, for a gas model, a competent gas engineer). Handle and store fuel safely, let the exhaust cool before refuelling, keep the generator dry and do not overload it. Read the manual. CE marked where applicable. The statutory 14-day right of withdrawal applies to consumers.
